Who We Are
![]() |
Heritage Christian Church is affiliated with "Grace International Churches and Ministries." Grace International is a fellowship of Non-Denominational Churches and Ministries, who's headquarters are in Houston, Texas. This ministry begin over seventy years ago when a man by the name of O. C. Harms, a great visionary and Christian man, founded it and became it's first president. |
Today, we are under the direction of our fourth President, Steve Riggle. Steve is a visionary and motivator. He is also the Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church, a 14,000 member church in Houston, Texas. Globally, Grace International is currently serving over eighty-nine thousand members, and seventeen hundred churches in more than forty countries. We embrace a vision of continued expansion and growth on a national and international level. We expect multiplication of members, churches, and districts. Our vision includes the establishment of additional International Training Centers in strategic locations. Our vision is for the world-wide community, yet we are committed to the importance of each individual member of Grace International. It is our goal to offer support, guidance, and credibility to each person involved. It is our desire to provide a strong foundation for ministry in today's society through the relationships, resources and leadership of Grace International.
Story of Heritage Christian Center
After being an assistant pastor for over fourteen years God called Pastor Jim and Char Amador to plant a church in Sun City California. Through many hours of prayer they opened their home up for a bible study and invited two other couples to join them. That's how it all began. The bible study grew quickly to around forty people and the church was formed in 2003.
They moved the church from their home to Ridgemoor Elementary School in Menifee and grew to the point of moving into the current facility. In January of 2008 they joined Grace International and merged with another local church. God had a plan and He repeatedly spoke the plan through the prophetic words that were spoken over the congregation. The word was "I am going to do a new thing." And He certainly has. As His prophetic word begin to come to pass He began to create a new 'DNA' at Heritage Christian Church, and has formed a Fellowship of Believers who diligently Seek His Presence in all that we do.
Psalms 16:11 says, "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore." and in Psalms 91 it says, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." We believe that it's through the teaching of His Word and dwelling in the secret place of the Most High is where His transforming power and love takes us from glory to glory. If your looking for a home church we ask you to prayerfully seek the Lord to see if Heritage Christian Church is the place where He wants you.
Our Vision & Values
Our values as a "Home Church" describe who we are and provide the framework for personal growth in an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Our vision as a "Local Church" is to be a church that changes the geographic area in which God has called us into.
Relationships
We need each other. As co-laborers in the Kingdom we value the place of authentic, and genuine relationships. We believe in providing opportunities to build life-long friendships for support, encouragement and fellowship.
Itegrity & Leadership
Leadership is built on trust and integrity. We emphasize character over charisma and godliness over giftedness. We intentionally develop and empower leaders. Leadership is vital to the accomplishment of God's purpose. We are dedicated to helping men and women lead with skill, character, and Spirit-empowerment. We are also committed to raising up the next generation of leadership to fulfill their calling in God. We actively seek ways to shape, support, and encourage and train new leaders.
Prayer
Prayer is the foundation of all we do. We believe that effective and expanding ministry happens in an environment of prayer. The local church is the hope of the world and will only fulfill its calling when we call on God to do what we cannot do.
